The Brewers Cup beer competition has cultivated a reputation as a well-run competition and we are looking for good judges to join us at this year’s competition. BJCP judges, BJCP apprentices and professional brewers are welcomed and encouraged to judge at the 2008 Brewers Cup.

Judging will take place on Friday, July 11th and Saturday, July 12th at the Farm Bureau building on the grounds of the Indiana State Fair. This is a BJCP sanctioned competition so points will be awarded. We also pay a small stipend to offset some of the expenses of BJCP judges and professional brewers at the following rate: $25 for local judges and $100 for judges traveling more than 50 miles one way to the competition. We provide meals during the judging and you are welcome to stay for the Awards Reception that will feature the 2007 Best of Show beers (re-brewed, of course) and sumptuous buffet of heavy appetizers on Saturday night. We are also planning a beer dinner for Saturday night. Stay tuned for more details.

We have arranged for a special rate of $69/night at the Marten House Hotel. You may also want to consider the Hampton Inn downtown. The Hampton is located in Indianapolis’ safe and vibrant downtown, conveniently located within walking distance to three brewpubs and Circle Center Mall.
